To be eligible for an opening at our preschool your child must:
be 3 years old by the time they enter school
be FULLY TOILET TRAINED
be able to feed self and drink from a cup
be able to understand and follow simple one step directions
be able to dress/ undress self
demonstrate safe behaviors which do NOT pose a threat to self and others
1. First you must apply for an opening. To do so, print from our website link the following four documents:
Application Form
Legal Medical Care Permit
Pick-up Authorization
Media Consent
Bring to the preschool these four documents completed in their entirely with a nonrefundable $20 application fee. If you cannot bring these documents and the fee in-person, you can mail or email them.
We highly recommend before even beginning this process that you apply for financial aid for your child, through scholarships programs such as Pauahi Keiki Scholars, Child Care Connections, Keiki O Ka'Aina, etc.
WAITING PHASE:
2. Wait for a conditional acceptance letter from the director, Lara Wasson.
3. Once you've received your child's conditional acceptance letter, you should continue the application process. Return to our website to print from the link the following three health forms:
Early Childhood Pre-K Health Record Supplement, 908
Student's Health Record
TB Document F
You will need to schedule a doctor's appointment to complete these three forms.
Your chid may not attend, or be officially accepted, until these forms are completed in their entirety.
4. Bring all three forms WITH A COPY OF YOUR CHILD'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE to the preschool once finished.
Your chid may not attend, or be officially accepted, until ALL forms are completed in their entirety.
Bright Beginning maintains the right to disqualify your child's acceptance to our preschool based on information obtained from these forms.
